Things to Do in Indianapolis, Indiana

My husband is from Indianapolis and returns every other year to play in a golf tournament with his childhood friend. This year Kathleen and I decided to go with him and make a vacation out of it. We decided to do a road trip to Indianapolis, Indiana.

On the first day, we visited the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. We toured the museum and took a trip around the track in a minibus.

The Next day we visited the Indianapolis Zoo.

Next, we spent the day at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Conner Praire, “Indiana’s Living History Museum,” was a great place to spend the day with a child. It is both fun and educational.

We finished the week back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the Nascar Brickyard race.

We stayed near Zionsville, IN. So we spent an afternoon walking through this adorable town.

Some of our Favorite Restaurants in the Indianapolis area are:

The Loft at Trader Point Restaurant: rustic elegance at a working dairy farm. An authentic farm-to-table experience.

Cobblestone Zionsville: Great food in a beautiful little town. Make sure to try the steak!

Harmony Steakhouse: Elegant Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar and hibachi grill.
