Lartigue’s Seafood Market in Fairhope

Since 1978, the Lartigue family has been known in Mobile and Baldwin County for their seafood markets. The founding members, Bubba Lartigue and Captain Larry Lartigue began in Mobile County, then moved their way into Baldwin County, and now they offer the public four retail markets in Fairhope, Foley, Loxley, and Spanish Fort, Alabama. Our favorite location is in the Piggly Wiggly, located in Fairhope, Alabama. Marty and I love our local Piggly Wiggly. We call it “THE PIG.” Making it even more fun is a quick stop by to visit Sam at the Lartigue Seafood Market located in the back right corner of the store. He is a lot of fun, always smiling and teaching you how to choose yummy seafood dishes to take home.

There are many items to choose from, fresh to pop in the oven, complete with sauce to go with it. There you will find many seafood treats from Gulf shrimp, Atlantic salmon, Snapper fillets, burger croquettes, crab salads, and the list goes on. I love the crab cakes, and Marty and I both love the fact that many of the items you find in the coolers can be taken home and popped in the oven. I also enjoy the fact that there are single items you can purchase if you are cooking for one. Sam has printed all the directions on the back of the packages for heating.

Fairhope Piggly Wiggly and the Famous Lartigue’s Seafood Market are located at 100 Plantation Pointe in Fairhope, Alabama. If you love seafood and “THE PIG,” stop by your local Fairhope Piggly Wiggly and tell Sam Savour Life Well Lived sent you. For more tasty ideas, you can follow us on our blog.
