The Devil’s Tower Wyoming

Devil's Tower

We were on a trip to visit Mt. Rushmore, and we decided to take a short road trip to see The Devil’s Tower National Monument in Wyoming. We stayed in Keystone, SD, so we took US-385 and made a stop in Deadwood, SD. We ate a fabulous lunch at the Franklin Hotel and Casino.

We dropped a few coins in the slots but did not win anything. We then walked the street of the quaint town and took in a Wild West re-enactment that they perform daily.

We then drove I-90 to The Devil’s Tower National Park. The weather was warm, and the sky was clear. We walked around the “tower” using the Tower Trail Loop. This trail is a 1.3 mile paved walking path that is easy to walk. There are plenty of benches along the way, so you can rest or just sit to take in the stunning views and wildlife.

We also watched a climber scale up the side of the tower. If you are ever in this area, this monument is a must-see.
