Tamara’s Downtown

If fine casual dining is your thing, look no further than Tamara’s in downtown Fairhope. Marty and I stopped in on a rainy, cold day to find a warm and inviting atmosphere full of character and flavor. Inspired by Tuscany itself, the elegant and open atmosphere features artwork hanging from the ceiling, a New Orleans-style courtyard, a beautifully crafted main bar with an extensive list of wine and other delicious drinks.

Of course, we imbibed on the delicious Garnacha Arrumaco Rose’ a lovely wine from Spain. The restaurant offers everything from fresh local fish, black Angus beef, prime steak, lamb, and pasta to a variety of burgers and other unique dishes. We began our meal with the scrumptious Panko-crusted avocado fries.

For our entrée, Marty tried the Grilled Salmon with sauteed vegetable medley and tri-color potatoes, and I had the French Dip Po’boy with shaved roasted prime rib and Swiss on Cuban bread with au jus. We enjoyed both and found our server to be delightful!

We plan to return for the Sunday Brunch, which has become a favorite Fairhope tradition. Tamara’s is located at 104 N Section St Fairhope, AL 36532. They are currently offering curbside, pick up, and dine-in.
