Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina

If you are looking to dine with a fantastic sunset view mixed with unique menu items and craft cocktails, look no further than Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina. There, as you sit on Mobile Bay, you can enjoy the most vivid and unforgettable sunsets you may ever look upon. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining, a fire pit, comfortable seating, and friendly staff. This excellent restaurant is one of the family dining establishments managed by chef Pete Blohme, also known as Panini Pete. Along with Sunset Pointe, owner “Panini Pete” Blohme also has the popular downtown restaurant, Panini Pete’s CafĂ© and Market in the French Quarter. One of the few restaurants with water views in Fairhope, Sunset Pointe is a local favorite!

There is a diverse mix of appetizers, entrees, salads, and burgers/sandwiches. They have a concise but good wine list built to pair with the menu and many beer selections, and a full bar with some creative concoctions. Some of the local favorites are the crab meatballs, the snapper throats, the homemade sweet potato chips, the mac and cheese, and their burger. Eastern Shore Bouillabaisse is another popular option. With excellent views of the Marina, the restaurant is a perfect pit stop on a scenic drive on the coast from Gulf Shores to Mobile. It has even been featured on “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” so we figured we had to give it a shot. The food and atmosphere were outstanding. We had the Seared Tuna Nachos, which were amazing! For entrees, I had the Southern Fried Fish N’ Chips, and Marty tried the very popular Gulf Snapper Throats.

We loved the place! If we could describe the ambiance, it would be a fun and inviting seafood joint that is smack dab in the middle of an incredible view. We recommend visiting here on a nice warm, sunny day and taking full advantage of the outdoor patio seating. They really do make it a welcoming and memorable visit. The Fly Creek Marina is striking right at sunset so that you can toast the evening to good food, friends, and the view. Sunset Pointe is located at the Fly Creek Marina in Fairhope, Alabama.
