Sage Restaurant

If you happen to be in downtown Fairhope, Al. and hungry at the same time, look for Sage. Sage is a popular and unique restaurant with a surprising blend of traditional dishes and Mediterranean & Lebanese cuisine flavors. We stopped for lunch and tried the “out of this world” Hummus Trio, one of their most requested appetizers. Traditional hummus, Kalamata olives, and sriracha jalapeño hummus are served in this appetizer. We followed it up with an entrée. I chose the Chicken Shawarma Wrap, which is marinated chicken, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, Garlic sauce, and a side of fries.

Marty went for the delicious Kebab Mixer, offering a sample of shish, chicken, and Kafta kebab with yellow rice and house salad. We both found the food to be fabulous! It was a perfect mix of authentic food with a warm and cozy atmosphere decorated Mediterranean style. We also enjoyed the natural light, which flooded the room through the windows, while we dined facing the downtown Fairhope streets. You could also try ordering from the lovely seating area streetside. Sage is located at 319 Fairhope Avenue in Fairhope. Hours of operation are Tue-Sat: 11-2 & 5-9.
