Panini Pete’s

“Perfectly pressed killer Panini’s”; is what you will find at Panini Pete’s located in downtown Fairhope, Alabama. And that is not all! From house-made mozzarella to house-roasted meats, delicious Angus beef burgers, hand-cut fries, and beignets, are you hungry yet?? If you are, then head to the French Quarter. Not the one in New Orleans, ok? But located in downtown Fairhope, Alabama, where the restaurant owners here are passionate about “putting real food into their food.” So much, so that Chef Pete was even featured with Guy Fieri on his live road show and featured on a host of Food Network shows, according to the restaurant website.

Panini Pete also has a podcast called The Raw Ingredients, where you can follow him on his culinary adventures. He has an amazing story that I encourage you to read about on their website. Marty, her husband, and I decided to stop by for lunch one day. We wanted to sit outside in the courtyard amongst the large southern oak trees so we could enjoy the shade by the fountain and just relax.

I decided to try Pete’s Muffuletta Panini, a wonderful treat. Tasty and full of flavor and also featured on 100 things to eat in Alabama before you die, so I had to order that, of course! Marty ordered the seared Tuna with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, baby greens, and key lime aioli on ciabatta. Her husband went for the Guy Fieri proclaimed State Bird of Flavor Town, the House Roasted Turkey Panini with baby greens, roasted peppers, Dijon, garlic aioli, and balsamic vinaigrette. These came served with skinny fries, fresh-cut chips, Pete’s side of the day, or salad greens.

Anything you choose here is made fresh. They also cater. The restaurant is located at 42 ½ South Section Street. You can also visit their sister restaurants, Ed’s Seafood Shed, Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina, and Squid Ink. For more Keeping it Local articles, you can visit our blog.
