North Italia at The Summit-Birmingham, Alabama

On a recent family trip to Birmingham, Alabama, we made our way to THE SUMMIT. A one million square foot upscale lifestyle center located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 280 and Interstate 459 in Birmingham, Alabama, located between the suburbs of Mountain Brook and Vestavia Hills. After walking around a bit and doing some window shopping, we decided to have a bite to eat in North Italia. A restaurant and Pizzeria with items made from scratch, like daily chef’s pizzas. Every day there is a new delicious favorite hand-made pizza, waiting to be discovered and devoured. Here you can find many things to choose from Italian meatballs to Zucca chips. And from a Caprese sandwich to the Spicey Italian Grinder. Try the Squid Ink Tonnarelli if you want to be more adventurous. Salads are on the menu as well, and the entrees are too many to mention, but I can say that I was intrigued by the multitude of choices. They also offer a tempting assortment of wines, beer, and house-made cocktails. So, there are endless ways to treat yourself.

Our table ordered the Roasted Salmon. It came with caramelized cauliflower, broccolini, and house pesto. We also ordered two pizzas. They were both amazing! I highly recommend the Prosciutto pizza with figs, goat cheese, and arugula. We also really loved the Fungi pizza with roasted mushrooms, cipollini, and smoked mozzarella. We added chicken for more protein to this pizza. This is a place we would love to visit again. North Italia has locations in Multiple States. We visited the one in Birmingham, Alabama. This restaurant is wheelchair-accessible and kid-friendly.
