Mellow Mushroom -Foley, Alabama

Peace Man! That’s what you will find at the Mellow Mushroom. The one we visited was located in Foley, Alabama, but they have many other locations if pizza is your thing.

And it was our thing this day. Just add a salad for a touch of leafy greens. We ordered the Greek Salad, made daily with fresh ingredients. Romaine and iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, red cabbage, onions, cucumbers, green peppers, mushrooms, authentic sheep’s milk feta cheese, kalamata olives, Roma tomatoes, pepperoncini, and banana pepper. Whew! That was literally a mouthful.

As you can see, we were famished when we sat down, so we barely got a shot of the yummy House Special. That is the name of the pizza we ordered. Mellow red sauce base with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, applewood smoked bacon, mushrooms, black olives, Roma tomatoes, green peppers, and onions. It was topped with extra mozzarella.

A bottle of Rosé goes nicely with pizza. Who would have guessed? But if you know us a little by now, then you will have realized that it is our favorite lunch drink along with water. Beer goes good as well, I hear, and they have plenty to choose from at the bar. Sweet or unsweet tea is also a perfect choice. You may like it with a slice of lemon on the side. We loved the décor! Purple mushrooms are hanging from the sky along with a Giant Octopus looming over us. The kiddos should love this place too. Pizza isn’t the only thing on the menu, but it’s definitely our favorite food to eat at the Mellow Mushroom.
Hey folks, Welcome to Alabama, Mellow Mushroom style. Peace out!
