Lakewood Golf Club at The Grand Hotel Point Clear, Alabama

If you are interested in playing some golf on one of the most beautiful Southern courses, then trek on over to the legendary Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Lakewood Golf Club. Located at the Grand Hotel Golf Resort and Spa on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. The Lakewood Club began in 1944. Perry Maxwell, the designer of the Tulsa Southern Hills Country Club and site of the 2001 U.S. Open, brought his extraordinary skills to Lakewood. His original creation, the Dogwood course, opened in 1947 and was the first professional quality course in South Alabama. Rolling fairways and tight greens, spring-fed lakes, meandering streams, and stands of mature trees make the 36 holes of Lakewood both beautiful and challenging. As you play beneath the one-hundred-year-old trees, you will feel the rich history of the grounds.
