Fairhope Farmer’s Market

One of my favorite places to visit while in Fairhope, Alabama, is the Fairhope Public Library. It is a wonderful place to take your children or even your older parents to get them out of the house. They offer so many books and activities for the whole family, and I find it inspiring. Seasonally, in the parking area behind the Fairhope Public Library, typically from April through July and from September through November, you can also find the Fairhope farmer’s market taking place. It is held every Thursday afternoon, weather permitting, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. We visited this wonderful market on one of our recent library visits. On this day, the librarian was reading a book to the children then she offered a fun craft.

Afterward, we wandered the farmer’s market and found a nice cold, fresh and interesting smoothie. The market features a varied selection of individual booths selling local produce, plants, and baked items. You will also find some handmade items for sale. I picked up dinner to go from one of the vendors, Italian cuisine, my favorite.
