    Highway 1- Bodega Bay to Carmel

    One of my favorite road trips is down highway one. Most of Highway 1 is fantastic, but we will start at a quaint little coastal town called Bodega Bay on this trip. Anyone that has watched the movie “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock will recognize this restaurant. It is now called The Tides. Bodega Bay has an almost crescent-shaped peninsula that you can drive out to the tip of the Bogeda Head Park. What a beautiful view.     Carmel-by-the-sea California

    My favorite California town, which we have visited numerous times, is a beautiful little town called Carmel-by-the-sea. It is located on the Monterey Penisula south of San Fransisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. The first time my husband and I visited, we were only there for a few days because we had started our vacation in Wine Country and taken a road trip down Highway 1, along the coast. What a treat this town turned out to be. The main street through the middle of the city leads to the Pacific Ocean.
