Beach Bike Rentals

We wanted to take a day trip to Orange Beach, Alabama, and do something a little different. Something we had not done before so we decided to rent bikes. Marty and I  have been coming to the beach for years since we both grew up not too far away from the beach but neither one of us has ever rented bikes.  We found a fabulous little bike shop called Beach Bike Rentals and its location near the Gulf State Park was just perfect.

We decided to try their electric versions. We had a GREAT time! We actually rode for miles; Miles more than we ever would have on regular bikes. We stopped by some of the beautiful lakes and even saw an alligator taking in some sun.

Then we decided to take a break at the Woodside Restaurant for lunch. This is a delightful restaurant that specializes in classic dishes served in a laid-back venue. We had the Low Country Boil and the Chicken Sandwich with a side of fruit. It was wonderful and full of flavor.

The Gulf State Park trail was easily accessible and an easy ride. Although it was HOT, the trail offers plenty of shaded places. I would suggest that you bring bottled water, sunscreen, and even a hand towel to wipe your face. It was a great experience !!! This will be a MUST from now on and this bike company was SO easy to work with. The staff was great and the bikes that we had were well maintained. They had so many bike choices to choose from; from small kids’ bikes to big kids’ ones. Loved our trip to the park and look forward to exploring more on our next visit! Highly recommend this rental company!
