Baumhower’s Victory Grille -Daphne, Alabama

If you are looking for a great place to Keep it Local in Daphne, Alabama, where you can be casual, watch television, and eat at the Best of the Best Wing places, then Baumhower’s Grille is just what you need. Award-winning and voted Best of the Best by the Nappie’s, the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, both Montgomery and Tuscaloosa County, and Big Beautiful Baldwin. Here, you cannot go wrong. And if wings are not what you desire, then consider trying some Fish Tacos, a Gourmet burger, or one of my favorites, the Pot Roast Bowl. Slow-cooked pot roast with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans topped with fried onions and served with garlic bread. It will make you feel warm and toasty, especially on a cold day. According to their website, “It all started in 1981, when Bob Baumhower, the All-American from the University of Alabama and six-time All-Pro for the Miami Dolphins, decided to share his foodie passion with the world and introduce Buffalo-style chicken wings to the state of Alabama”.

Since then, the Baumhower’s have expanded their foodie passion into multiple restaurant locations across the state of Alabama, not just with their Victory Grille but with several upscale establishments located in downtown Mobile, Alabama, such as Dauphin’s and with a Cuban-themed speakeasy – Las Floriditas. We go to Baumhower’s quite a lot. Some of our favorite things about this place are the popcorn, the sports, the cold pitchers of beer, the food, the service, and the casual atmosphere. We also love that this place is handicapped accessible for my dad. Look at what our crew has ordered in the past. Try the Priesters Pecan Fudge Pie topped with Raspberry sauce handmade from Priester’s Pecans, a famous Alabama local candy company located in Fort Deposit, Al. See photos.

We visited the Grille located at 6880 Hwy 90, Suite F-1, in Daphne, AL. For more Keeping it Local, please follow our blog.
